The question was; Is it 2 or 3 hours you are required to be at the air port before leaving. You are correct with your observations Ted, but the point I was trying to make was; If your plane was the only one leaving the airport to any destination and was around the 100 passenger capacity, then you will breeze through, but if there are several full jumbos leaving at the same time, then you need more time to negotiate the various queues. Hence the blanket rule; 3 hours prior to departure for international and 2 hours for domestic.
