When staying in the Amed-area last week, we did our diving with PADI dive-centre Jukung Dive Bali. They used to be called 'Euro-dive' but broke up some 2 years ago with their (local) business associates and moved on alone but are still on the same lcation. Eurodive also operates as a small dive-centre connected to the Hidden Paradise and Coral View Hotels in Lipah but wasn't looking to good or welcome, with staff sleeping on the front-porch.

The ever so friendly owner of Jukung Dive Bali himself picked us up at our hotel in the morning, drove us to the dive-base in Amed and was always around to check on what's happening. All dive-gear available is new and well-maintained with a vigorous administration system behind it to keep track how many times equipment has been used and whether overhaul or maintenance is required. Well managed, indeed!

The diving at the big shipwreck at Tulamben was good, quiet sea, no currents or big waves, but we did notice that the shipwreck's condition is not as good as our last dives there, about 4 years ago. Large sections and parts of the wreck had collapsed since then, making it a smaller place to dive but still spectacular. The dive-guide was very well informed on the location of special marine life and showed us many nudy branches and pygmy sea-horses.
We made our reservations with Jukung Dive Bali 2 days before diving and got a 10% discount on their published prices. Other divers had to pay the full price so it's a true discount you get with them, contrary to the rest of Bali where 'I give you discount because you're my friend'.
