Hi, am back in Oz and now catching up on reports. Second last evening meal was at Terrazo. Have heard alot about the place, mostly good, a little not so glowing so thought it was my duty!
After a couple of long necks of Carlsburg at Murni Warung (theme here still emerging!) I used their after 7PM free transport for a lift up to terrazo. Ex pats at Murni had recommended it and also suggested the lamb shanks....... hunger had hit at the mention!!!
First impression - reasonably busy for 9PM.
Second impression - no greeting at the entrance.
Third impression - lead to worst table in the restaurant, right outside the kitchen door so that I was on the waiters' flight paths.
I then asked if table upstairs and was told yes, no problem. New table was fine, a good view of the romancing couples around me!
Had a bit of trouble trying to get attention of staff to take my order but eventually managed to order a small San Miguel (for the price of a large at most other places) and a mains of polenta tart with sauteed veg and ratatouille.
I found the ambiance a little dead and uninspiring, to be honest.
Drink arrived and food 10 minutes later.
I honestly can not be glowing about the food that I chose. I am a huge polenta fan, a huge tomato fan, but they had made this dish with tinned tomatoes! It had neither the freshness or sweetness of good tomato.
Price overall was 80,000 rp.
As I left I rang Pizza Bagus and made an order. A driver outside the palace (10,000rp) got me back up to Penestanan a good 10 minutes before the pizza arrived. The Carlsburg drank beautifully withit, but I could only eat half!

Regards,
David
