The answers to your questions are:

You do not need a sponsor for a 60 day Turis Visa. You do need a sponsor for a 60 day Sosial/Budaya Visa.

If you have a Turis Visa you do not join the VOA queue at the Airport but you join the other queue.

If you leave Indonesia during the 60 day period, your visa expires straight away.
