Since upgrading the pool area and converting some superior rooms to deluxe the hotel management is only interested in money, eg the bottles of water are now only 300ml (half the normal size) and the omelettes are now cooked in a crepe pan. I used to rave abput the size and tast of the omelettes, but no more. In December the breakfast was nothing like it used to be. Hotel maintenance is also lacking. The hot water gave up in my first room and that was after the shelf fell down in the wardrobe - luckily my duty free was in plastic bottles. Changed rooms, airconditioning didn't work (batteries flat), fridge & TV not working (turned out someone had switched them off), bath had lots of dirt that had fallen from exhaust over the bath and light over mirror didn't work. Up until then the Ramayana had been my favourite hotel but with these problems I did leave early. Mind you, as has been said the staff are fantastic and do go out of their way to help you but they cannot do anything if management don't. The staff do remember you from trip to trip. The poolside cottages are booked from year to year. Enjoy your holiday, The hotel is in a great location. Cheers, Stormy
