Another bit of advice when/if you are surfing Kuta Reef etc if you come to grief and cut yourself on the reef take the time to treat it accordingly. The best thing to do is leave the water as soon as you do it, treat it and then put a waterproof bandage on if you want to return. After travelling throughout West Java in Sept. October and surfing some very isolated reeefs I had one last surf at Kuta on low tide cut myself and although I treated it as I was flying home that arvo I didn't give it the attention I should have- the result is that now after months of various antibiotics I now have to visit a specialist to make sure the germs aren't in the bone!! This all should have been avoided if I had treated it properly! Enjoy it you will have a ball.
