Some info on the bikes -best advice would be that you get the international license over here -NRMA, RACQ or their state equivelant have them -really cheap.
Prices over in Bali would be 250,000 to 400,000 per week. Depending on the deal you make. Make sure that you go over any damage before handover to cover yourself.
I hired on in Jan and was advised that if I was pulled over 50,000 would cover the payment to the police! I have a bike license in AUS.
As for your son -I would not recommend any teenage to ride over there -the traffic is so different and it is easy to make mistakes that would ruin a holiday -also it would void any travel insurance should he have an accident.
