which city of Australia you live in,how many airlines service your city & what level of comfort/service you expect in a hotel.
I consider there are still many hotels that charge reasonable prices but a lot seem to have increased dramatically & not always in an equal proportion to an increase in service or facilities.

In spite of saying this when I was watching "Getaway " on TV this week I was amazed at how very cheap it was to go to Fiji,NZ & other areas of the South Pacific compared to Bali.

Bali certainly isn't the budget holiday for many as it used to be but in some ways that isn't completely a bad thing, one would hope that for the locals that their standard of living & economy would slowly inmprove as a result of the increase in prices.Unfortunately many of us akready know that it can be a rather slow process for an increase in the economy for flow down to the average person.
