ahhhhhhhhhhhh I love to eat and i am damn good at it!

Indian is my favourite food so i am devoting a whole post to it LOL

Gateway of India - we ate once at the Seminyak one and once at the Beamo corner one. These places are just fantastic. We believe that the Beamo corner one is a little better. The settings are identical and service/prices etc identical but the food slightly better at Kuta. Both restaurants do beer and wine but no spirits. They are happy for you to take your duty free if you wish.

Prices are definately creeping up but this is still cheap for indian food. We had samosas and kathiroll for starters (kathiroll fantastic, samosas pretty good) then jeera pulao rice (cumin rice that is two colors, yellow and white) a lamb dish, 2 chicken dishes, raita (yoghurt) garlic naan (all good) and several drinks (I had 2 glasses of wine, we had waters and the boss had bintang) this was probably the most expensive meal we had in Bali at about 400,000 (still bloody cheap for what we ate and drank!) Main dishes about in the high 50's.

This all comes with sides of relish, pickled onions and a greeny concoction (forget what this is called) The medium isnt spicy at all so if you like chillies - ask for hot.

All up fantastic we rolled out of there......

Friends who were there at the same time had Queens Tandoor so we thought we would give that a go as well.

Ambience and service far outrank the GOI, a little pricier though (about mid 60's for a main) we tried the lamb samosas, these were very bland and tasted like just plain fried mince. the Jeera pulao rice was plain white with the cumin seeds in it. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal but between the 2 restaurants, GOI wins hands down for me.

There were 2 indian warungs down Jl Benesari but each time we went past they were closed. next time I will give them a go.

I also had a couple of curries at Alleycats, but more about that later.

Any questions please ask.

Am off to perth for the long weekend so the rest might have to wait till i get back hehe
