I noticed that the supermarket price of a large Bintang went from 9,500 in October 2007 to 17,000 in September 2008. December 2008 it was even higher. You are not wrong. Bars that were charging 30,000 for a large in 2007 were considered by me to be a rip off.
In 2008 I was feeling almost comfortable sitting there having a few. I still like the smaller warungs that charge about 22,000.
