Hi sujan. congrats on the engagement!
iv been going to bali for a longtime now, and am already hooked 2 it (hence the sign in name), but this was the first time i have gone to bali with my very new husband!...we tied the knot there!!!!...since i was a little girl i have been planning my wedding day. yes i know its very sad, but i always wanted my wedding in Bali, very small and quiet.i wanted flowers that i would remember being beautiful forever. i wanted my dress to be so stunning that i would look absolutely amazing in in the photos and i just wanted my day to be the most perfect day of our lives!
Because i have been traveling 2 Bali annually since i was a little girl i always new i wanted 2 get married there, and i would just have 2 find a husband that did too!haha....thankgod mine wasnt picky on the location!
i asked some of my expat friends who live over in Bali, and some friends that i know in Perth who just got married in Bali too. they all recommended Lorraine, from Bali Harmony Weddings. unlike all the other wedding organizers she is not so frequently advertised and bragged about, but she is talked about. talked about being one of the most professional and reliable wedding organizers on the island and i back that statement up.she was lovely person to meet and when leaving Bali after our holiday i felt i was leaving a dear friend who i had known practically my whole life.that's how friendly and nice a lady she was.
we got married in 'the most exquisite villa' i have ever seen! it was called Tanah lot villa & spa. although it is 5 bedrooms, they conveniently added a roll away for my sisters child in one of the rooms, and has a connecting spa/gallery where the massages and facials are to die for! have i mentioned the views yet! Tanah lot is a tourist destination, so obviously it is worth while visiting, however this villa is slightly set back and to the side of the temple. so you still get ALL the views and sounds of waves crashing up against the rocks, minus all the tourists and hawkers!its a perfect location 2 wed., and after Lorraine took us to as many hotels and villas we could handle, Tanah Lot was out last villa of the day. if this was not what we wanted Lorraine promised she would drive us around in our next spare time and she guaranteed she would find us the perfect location...but no need, we were just arriving to it. this villa was breathe-taking.and especially ideal as the rest of our wedding guests could stay in the Le Meridian which is located close by.
on the day of our wedding i had absolutely no stresses and nothing to worry about. i actually felt quite guilty being so lazy!ahah.
before the wedding Lorraine my husband and i caught up for coffee to disguise some of our ideas of what we waited for our wedding. lorraine sat patiently as we argued and then actually resolved some of our problems in what flowers to choose and where to get a suit for my husband.she the took us to some amazing locations where we sampled then choose our wedding cake!..which all of our guest loved and raved about!she even helped us down to the point of fake tan for my bridesmaids for the special day. not to mention the lovely hair dressers who she works with on wedding and the adorable photographer Alicia who is from New Zealand, and i swear made me loose 10kg on camera. she caught every moment of our day without us even knowing she was there! and even caught video footage of the crazy wedding party dancing away to the best band ever!o and of coarse organized all the legal part of our day too!
i don't know how 2 thank Lorraine for our wedding as it was again the most perfect day and i still look back in awe of how amazing it looked and how magnificent it was!thankyou Lorraine and her team from Bali harmony weddings once again....now i want to do the whole day over again as i had so much fun!ahah.
and Sujan i couldn't recommend anyone better to plan and organize your day, as Lorraine puts as much thought, passion and love into it as if it was her own!
