to me years ago, had flights booked with Ansett, paid by credit card (westpac).
Ansett became no-longer.
I was refunded the money (well the credit card was credited with the total amount paid for the tickets - by the actual bank (westpac) not Ansett).
You are using the banks money for a transaction (credit) that the bank has approved in the first place, you are not getting what they approved payment for.
This is how Westpac explained it to me anyway.
