currency, I purchased some in Aus before heading to Bali 7th Feb and got 6700 rph for 1 aussie dollar. you order it over counter and then return the next day or two when they have it. The rate was similar to any other money exchanger I was looking at in Australia, but Aust post don't charge anything to use this service.
Over in Bali we got money exchanged at authorised dealers for 7775 rph and 7400 rph within the two weeks we were there. When i used my ATM card to withdraw cash, it converted back to around 7450 rph, but also $9.50 charge on my statement ($5 foreign currency exchange and $4.50 for something else). So best to take dollars over with you...
