I was just about to take out a travel insurance policy at "travelinsurancedirect.com.au but read that the exclusion below applies to all parts of the policy :
Exlusion 9 : "Your claim arises because you did not follow advice in the mass media of a government or other official body's warning:
* against travel to a particular country or parts of a country; "
With the "overkill" warning from the Australian Government at http://www.smartraveller.gov.au/zw-cgi/view/Advice/Indonesia which advises "Reconsider your need to travel" to any part of Indonesia - does this mean every claim could be rejected if lodged for an incident in Bali - whether bomb, lost luggage, or simply an injury from tripping over in the street?
Your thoughts??
