I've been a bit crook a couple of times in Bali (not too seriously though) and although I know it's near impossible to pinpoint exactly how and where you can pick up germs...I've had my suspicions about the salad each time.
For anyone else reading this that might have an answer,the question is this...What sort of water do they wash salad with before they serve it up?
Drinking water is obviously Aqua...but if they're washing lettuce leaves and the like in tap water (and shaking rather than drying)then that could well be the cause of a few upsets.
I'm not that savvy on restaurant procedure re food preparation so if anyone can shine a light...
