As far as hotel accom goes, Bakungsari is probably as basic as it gets.
However, I have stayed there, and found it to provide the basics, and situated in an area that I didn't mind being in.
The staff were friendly, breakfast very basic, rooms clean and of average size.
From memory, we had one of the "upgrade" rooms which was OK, but can recall seeing some fairly ordinary rooms at the back of the building that looked a bit dark, and not greatly inviting.
If you stay there, I suggest that you pay a little extra for the better room.
