2 of us flew Garuda ex Perth - good flights & no complaints.
We stayed at the Lokha Hotel, Padma St, Legian. A small hotel but very modern and clean. Fantastic location, great pool with swim-up bar and the in house food was pretty good - especially the pizza out the front called Sarpino's.
We ate at-
Indonational - Very good food and price. I will go back to Bali just for the seafood soup! The guys trying to sell CD's inside was a bit off-putting.
Drops - Very good food here. No complaints from us. Although there was a man in there rudely complaining about the size of his duck (size obviously is an issue for him). I will just say that if the duck was as big as his ego then there may not have been a problem!
Bali Aussie - Old favourite.
Ku De Ta - Very up-market for Bali. Very nice food and worth the money if you are looking for fine dining.
We went elephant riding at the Elephant Camp - would recommend, we had a great time. Also went to the Safari Park. (I don't know about this idea about the tiger cub being drugged up because he had more than enough energy in him for us ... made me a bit edgy actually!)
Also met a great tour guide called Yuda from Jan's Tours. Very good English and would have used him more often if we had a longer stay.
Weather surprised me - it rained heavy one afternoon but for the remainder of our holiday it was quite mild and pleasant - even cool sometimes! When we got off the plane in Perth the heat hit us - it is usually the other way around and it hits you in Bali!
Cheers
