centre of Ubud and down and around monkey forrest road are fixed price, we enjoyed shopping in Ubud and found prices were reasonable but that was May/june last year the Aust Dollar was up against the US$ ($1us = 95c Aust) as stated below a lot of the fixed price shops are based on US$ so may be a little pricy now (sorry assuming your from Aust)how well do you know Ubud have you been before we found some linnen shops down Jl Hanoman. Art and Crafts and some clothes are everywhere. Ubud is getting bigger and spreading out along the main streets, every body seems to head for the Markets but we find the shops off the main streets good value, just love walking around Ubud very safe. Have always found everybody very friendly. I try to advice everybody to just walk around the main square at least. there are some great little shops, bars and cafe around the main circuit, As a start try walking the Square formed by Monkey Forrest Road, Jl Rama Ubud, Jl Hanoman, and Jl Dewi Sita back to Monkey Forrest Road
