I have been posting & making a big deal about International licences,Motor bike licences & travel insurance.
There have even been times when I have missed a post & someone has quoted me or referred to a previous post of mine.
Most of the oldies here know it is a huge bugbear of mine.Basically IF you don't have a fully endorsed motorbike licence in Australia you can not get an International motor bike licence even if you can get a local licence. My feeling are that IF an insurance company can find any possible loophole to get out of paying then they will.
It is up to us as consumers to ask all the questions before we pay for a policy & make sure we have the cover that we want.Insurance companies are often A-holes in my opinion. My advice is read the fine print & ask questions before you pay a cent.
Yes I remember the person you are talking about & the troubles she had because of what happened with her husband. It was an absolute nightmare for her at the time.
