yes, galungan runs over 17, 18, 19, March ...the shops and offices will start winding down on afternoon of 16th and should be open again by 20th, but some places take extra day to 21st. There are javanese owned shops open during this time...but, as for shop til you drop...I don't think so!! Don't forget the next week has Nyepi on 26th march, so would not bother changing to that week!!! Ahhh, balinese ceremonies...a certainty in life!!!
