I have been to Bali 17 times and almost never get sick. On my last trip in Nov.08, one of my travelling companions picked up typhoid. She got very ill about 3 days after returning home...and was really sick. I went to the travel clinic (I'm in Canada) a week ago to see what they suggest for Bali and they definitely recommend typhoid. I guess it's really easy to get. I had the shot (just one) and never felt a thing. Way easier to cope with than getting typhoid. Having said that I would never have had the shot unless someone I knew got sick. It was abit of a wake up call. I also have had the Hep. A & B vacinnations (but not just for my Bali trips) and have never taken malaria pills for Bali.

Best to check with your Dr. directly about immunizations though as they are more up to date than most of us are.
