Hi, and I know you will have a wonderful time at the Sofitel. My partner and I go for a week four times a year to the hotel, then follow up with a week or more at the Lagunna Nusa Dua. We love both hotels, and each adds something different to our holiday. Firstly if you are able to - join the ACCOR Advantage Group. This will give you a nights accommodation complimentary 50% off all meals and a discount on beverages. The food at HUSK in the hotel is wonderful and we usually dine at least twice in the restaurant. Lunch is an extensive menu and we have at 4 while lazing around the garden pool which is usually very peaceful. As previously mentioned breakfast is great but not as good or as varied as tht Lagunna Nusa Dua, but each to their own. The lizard is fun to watch and when he runs he is so quick given his size. THey have installed a gym since we first started staying at the hotel and that is a plus to work off those huge breakfasts. The sunsets are great and the staff are very helpful. Next door at the small hotel which houses the cafe Chin Chin I(from memory) Desa the beautiful Balinese massage lady works her magic. wheather it is a mani?pedi or massage she is the lovesliest lady and now is married with a little boy. Business is improving for her and she has 2 family members working with her. Clean, maticulous and very reasonable. And that smile that makes you happy from deep inside. We stay in the Grand Deluxe rooms and from memory there are only about 6. Always ask for an upgrade. Dining, Sarong, ex Sydney Chef Will Merrick, beautiful dining decor magnificient, similar food to Longgrain in Sydney La Luchiola stunning location and wonderful food. In Eat street try Tratt, nice italian and fun place, Ultimo, make sure you get a table outside, book early. We did try SIP 2 momths ago after hearing some good reviews but it did nothing for us. But very friendly people. At Jimbaran former partners in Tratt Rest Seminyak opened Peppe Nero. I cannot tell the difference between Tratt and Pepe Nero. Except Peppe is a bigger restaurant and they have a spa in the middle overlooking Jimbaran. Great fun. Always very busy.
PRICES we paid for maybe 2 vino, 2 beers or maybe a cocktail as well.
For 2 inc. vino/beer
La Luchiola - A$110
Ultimo - A$50
Tratt - A$45
Pepe Nero - A$45
HUSK - A$45
SARONG - A$150
There is an excellent laundry service the first street on your left walking from the hotel away from the beach. sorry cannot remember the name. Excellent. Our clothing smelt devine. And you can buy the fabric softner in the grocery stores.
Next door at Annantara we were not allowed to go to the top level where the bar is located. You need now to be a member or a guest. We tried twice but no luck. But that is fine. If anyone could gain entry good for you.
Enjoy a wonderful holiday. Hope this helps a little.
