Hi Marion, your points are still valid, certainly for this year. I think though if you do not travel with Garuda in this year you may lose them. I am in the same boat, demoted from Silver. Really the only difference was the extra 5kg in baggage allowance. I was going to use them but by the time you pay for the taxes on that flight and then add the cost of a return flight you could get a cheaper return flight with another airline. I may use them later in the year.
