Of course those taking the bookings will tell you there are few rooms available.One gets desperate & books it paying the higher price to ensure all is safe to go to Bali with accommodation paid in advance.
Just another form of corruption which is seen from the moment one gets off the plane until one departs.Also it will get worse.The locals have had a sniff of how to rip you off & the next move is to see who can pull the biggest scam.What people have seen in the past is nil compared to the stunts the poor,lovely people of Bali will pull in the future.
In their eyes if you are generous you have a weakness.Be careful.Luckily the minority are O.K.for the time being.
