My container was arranged with an Indonesian company called Rim Cargo. They were very efficient & reliable. Like you I had many questions & found them forthcoming with information prior to the start of the whole process, as well as throughout.

May I suggest you view their website: www.rimcargo.com

The website will show current container costs dependant on destination, as well as other related (extra & unavoidable) fees. Packing costs are also relevant & dependant on the type of goods you wish to import. (Refer to "Shipping Rates" on website).

Price is per container, not based on weight.

You will also need to contact a "Freight Forwarder" from your destination end to be advised on further costs & discuss the processing of the container on it's arrival.

The whole process can be rather complicated for we novices & I am by no means an authority on the process. There are others on this forum who import regularly & may be more helpful.

If you do a 'search' on this forum (see top of page) you will probably pickup a lot of (conflicting/confusing but possibly helpful) info.

Good-luck!
