I feel compelled to add to what is becoming the biggest moan I have ever heard of.If you judge a hotel by what it offers and that reassures you then why not pay for it.No matter which way you look at it, the very fact that you have the freedom to financially travel and make choices about where you stay tells a story about our affluent society. If people are visiting twice a year or more and that market is being studied then why would they not try to ride the wave and make money.People expect the biggest pool ( as asked here recently) , how does that appear in the ground? If you are happy to stay in a losmen or a family compound and have a fan and warm not hot water then your holiday will mirror your joy at simply being there. It fascinates me the amount of western people who timeshare a villa that they partly own, and still whinge about taxes etc. Anyway, I realise that the issue was the rupiah /US Dollar but viewed from afar the word humility comes to mind. Humility that is with one's abundant circumstances ..Perspective is an interesting thing.
