I'm not fussed on the rooms at MBR although it's location is tops. We've also stayed at Puri Raja next door. The rooms were fresher but the breakfast was a let down. This is MY opinion only.
Have you tried
www.robins-place-bali.com looks wonderful. We were going to stay there this time but have decided on Max & Suzannes at the Jayakarta.
