I actually hope that the reason I didn't get totally abused was because people realized just how hard I was trying to be fair and balanced in my opinion.
The last week of the Sari Beach Inn has been vastly improved.
If only they had behaved like that for the first week or so, we would have had a very different opinion, and would have probably happily stayed there again.
After moving us, they apparently had a change of heart(I suspect someone may have read the forum!). EVERYONE can now say hello, it's like a miracle. Unfortunate that it didn't happen in the beginning!!
I met the assistant manager, Made, who's a very nice man, and have once ATTEMPTED to greet George the owner.
All I can say is, I can see why the staff had the attitude they did initially. He apparently feels very little inclination to speak to his guests..
There is a lovely old dog there, who has adopted us, and is doing very very well out of the deal, and it's just so lovely to be so close to the beach.
As a repeat visitor, you really start to become aware of just how big the changes to Bali are, and you have to wonder what it will be like in a couple of years. I often wonder if we will recognize it??
