year. It was my first trip to Bali and I thought location was fantastic. The bathrooms are not very private though as there is a cavity in the wall b/w room and bathroom, it does have a pull down curtain to cover it but you can hear everything if you know what I mean-probably not so much of a bother if you are intimate with your traveling companion but might be an issue for some.
Brekkie was okay, eggs to order, toast, fruit, coffee, cereal, etc. If you stay there you probably want to stay at rear of hotel, away from street noise and not above reception area. The rooms on ground level around the pool looked good but are all for couples (1 x king bed I think). Staff very friendly and helpful, food from kitchen was hit and miss, some good, some very average. With so many restaurants around this was not such an issue. I would probably stay again in a ground floor room though.
Never an issue getting taxi out front and easy walking distance to good eateries, spas, shopping, etc.
Am hoping to go back in November this year and looking at staying at Casa Padma suites in same street but more private bathroom. It might be a good idea to email hotels directly as you may get cheaper rates. That's what I have done and Casa Padma came in cheaper than Lokha. Have left email open if you want further info.
