Arrived home on the 2.00am Garuda flight flew into Perth ten minutes early and just like on arrival flew through customs we declared pixies pastes/spices/sauces etc did have saffron flowers and black chilli pods confiscated which was good to find out they were not allowed. As I said flew through customs and retrieved vehicle from airport secuirity and was driving out of carpark by 7.15am for our three hour drive home.
I did post our first 3/4 days as a just here now report so will do a brief as possible report on the remaining days.
We went to WaterbomPark and as always the kids (and big kids pix and I )had a great day.Myles was finally big enough to go on the Boomerang and the new Superbowl and after about four trips on each my stomach needed a rest so it was off to the more sedate Macaroni/Jungle Ride and my favourite the Lazy River. After another dozen trips up those stairs it was off to the pool area and lunch with a bintang which was suprisigly tastey and not to expensive.it was then back for another flogging on the slides until Dads legs and arse muscles could take no more so it was back to the BGH to laze at the pool and not walk.
We stayed ath BGH until Auststralia Day and in the remaining days there Pixie ordered a pair of suede knee high boots that she had seen somewhere and with the help of a couple of pictures and drawings with the crew at Dolphin Leather we left and were to come back later to pick up,Pix also bought a leather bag that caught her eye whilst ther and the boots and bag cost $150 Aus.We have had boots etc made by Dolphin and were confident they would produce the goods.
I ordered some new business cards from a small store called the Key Hole Shop straight across the road from Indo National and had to go back the next day to check the draft copy.A word of warning perhaps take wife when going back to proof as apparently I am not that good at it.I duly went back the next afternoon and found what I thought was the only mistake which was they had put egg down instead of fax in front of our fax number happy that I had found an error I ordered a thousand at the cost of 500,000 RP.
Restaurants we ate at in Tuban/Kuta -
Koris - Just brillant as always as I mentioned before Tuna is to die for and the kids just love having Sate Ayam in the bales we prefer lunch as not as busy.
TJs - Great place also for lunch nice atmosphere and food always good.
Bebek Angsa - Just 50 metres down on the left hand side of the road as you leave BGH heading towards Kuta. Not muck to look at but the food is very tastey and the prices very cheap we ate here for breakfast as we are not that wrapped in the breaky at BGH and also for dinner they have a band/singer every night and it is always good.
Kafe Batan Waru - This place is a must try PIx reckons the Kare Ayam is to die for and have tried most Indo food on the menu and it is always very tastey and being staight out the front of th BGH its location makes it ideal for an evening meal when kids have had a big day.
Ifiore(think thats right spelling)- It is oppostie Centro shopping centre relatively new restaurant very modern interior and the menu (kids as well) was good and the food as well, certainly worth a try.
Pantai - Also a regular of ours the kids love being on the beach the food is prety good and the sunset whilst having an evening meal the food always good/well priced and the setting makes it.They are currently doing renovations and we look forward to seeing them in Dec.
Indo National - Usually go here for lunch after ordering boots etc at Dolphin Leather combined with a shopping trip to Ketuts fixed price shop. The specials board is always full of tastey meals and the hardest part is choosing what to have - the Bintang is always cold.
Any will sign off now and post a furter report about Benoa/Safari park and the picking up of the cards.
Cheers
