1. You would probably expect to get some rain.
2. Change money over there, the rate is significantly better. If you need some rupiah for when you first arrive, you can either use the ATM inside the airport (what I would do) or change a few dollars with the airport money changers. You will get a better rate on the street. I take some cash and then use the ATMs.
3. Yakult is cheap over there, I drink one every day. Minor stomach upsets often resolve themselves but for serious ongoing 'bali belly' type illness then get in the doctor.
4. Phone cards - get a Bali sim card to use in your mobile phone (make sure your phone is not locked).
5. Prices: meals differ according to restaurant but you can get a very nice meal in an average restaurant for under $10. Local drinks are very cheap including local beer and spirits, anything imported expect to pay at least the same as in Oz. For services such as massage, nails, hair braid - I usually pay around 50,000rp per hour in an 'average' establishment or on the beach, fancy spas etc cost more, drivers around 400,000rp plus per day (their time is cheap but petrol is not, so factor that in).

None of these are hard and fast rules, but will give you an idea where to start.

Have a great holiday.
