Got back before Christmas from a quick 7 nights in Bali with husband and 10 yo daughter. Her first time. Also had 2 lots of friends there. Had a ball as always. Every trip brings new experiences, new friends, new discoveries and leaves me wanting to go back again.
Found Yani Silver, Celuk this time and found the silver to be very reasonably priced and beautiful. Will go there again for sure. Got some nice earrings for presents for the cost of a sarong. We hired a motorbike in Ubud and the three of us rode on it. Bit scary at first but traffic in Ubud is quite tame compared to down in Kuta. Daughter loved it! Did the Safari Park again with my daughter - a great day out for kids. Waterbom Park - enjoyed this - you must book a cabana. Massage there was so relaxing I kept falling asleep. Venezia Spa in Ubud still the best in my opinion. Verona spa in Ubud also lovely. Loved showing friends around for the first time. They loved it as much as we do and will be going back. We used the same driver this time which we have never done before. It was great to get to know him and meet his family. He couldn't do enough for us and our friends. Beteen the 3 groups we managed to keep him working pretty much non stop for 10 days. He had a lovely aircon van that seats 6 comfortably although one lot of friends that were there had 7 children and they squeezed in. Got a spray on tan in Seminyak - that was a first for me. My friend wanted one so I went along for fun. Well it was hot that day and my tan managed to melt off within a couple of hours. Had to go back as I left my wedding ring there and hubby asked them to do a bit more. I loved the look of it but it did go rather blotchy. I think you are supposed to keep cool after you have it so it can set. My friends got glasses made from My Honeyman and were very happy. I will try him next time for some prescription sunglasses. He really does sit outside the Bintang Supermarket - I couldn't believe it - only in Bali! All in all another great holiday.
