when you are looking at places to stay, there are alternatives to the big, expensive hotels in Senggigi. There are hotels and smaller establishments that are around the $15 to $50 per night mark.

Santai Beach Inn
Personally I'm just as happy staying in a place that costs me $15 a night and swimming in the ocean. If I want to spend the day poolside I pay a day fee at somewhere like Holiday Resort.
