I have travelled by Pelni from Jakarta to Makassar via Surabaya. I travelled in a First Class cabin which had two beds and an ensuite bathroom. The food was good and the ship was clean. There was no entertainment provided.
You cannot turn off loudspeaker in the cabin which relays messages in Indonesian.
