it's a fact that animals intended for human consumption in Australia are by law to be handled humanely. The aim of all engaged in the slaughter of meat animals is to see that as little pain as possible is inflicted on the animals involved. Some people believe that if the animal suffers to much stress just prior to slaughter it may have an efffect on how tender the processed meat is. bon appetite
