I don't think that the issue is, the eating of dogs, per se, as much as the well publicized maltreatment first. BEFORE you catagorize me, I am totally opposed to battery farming, refuse to buy eggs for that reason, and am well aware of ,the many awful facets of animal production. HOWEVER, there is a world of difference (maybe not to the victim) between a deliberate torture, and one of indifference.
Before you accuse me of racism, I've eaten dog(unwittingly) and have been proudly told of the appareant importance of tenderizing the meat prior to killing.
I do agree that eating one animal is not morally worse than another.
