I just returned from Bali last night. I travelled with my sister'n'law & we had a great time. Bali is extremely quiet at the moment. I won't bore you with a day to day rundown, just a few points I thought someone might like to know.
1. We flew with Pacific Blue from Perth & arrived at Bali at 10pm. We appeared to be the only flight so straight through customs.
2. Stayed at the Lokha Legian Hotel. Lovely Hotel,very small with only 49 rooms. Stayed in Super Deluxe which are located on the ground floor huge king size bed & large bathroom with spa bath. Looked at all the rooms at Hotel & all are very nice. The deluxe rooms have 2 double beds in them but most are located on the third floor. The breakfast is O.K.
3. Sate Bali cooking class in Jl Lasmana/Oberoi No 22A Seminyak. The cost 350,000 Rp & was fantastic. The only complaint we could make the food was so nice, fresh & tasty that no other restaurant could match up to it.
4. Bali Best Cycling. The four young guys who ran this use to work for Bali Bintang & have now started up their own business. We had a blast. I have done 2 other cycling tours & this matches up with the others except that you ride for about 4hours from Mt Batur to the beach near Gianyar.Breakfast & Lunch is included along with plenty of water & fresh fruit. We really enjoyed this tour & were thoroughly spoit, as we were the only two on the tour. These guys are building up their business & well worth giving them a go. 5. Johnny Andrean Hairdressers at Discovery Shopping Centre. Sister'n'law had who haircut with blowdry & straighted cost 51,000Rp, while I waited for her I had a creme bath cost 20,000Rp thats like $2.80 for a full 1/2 hour of luxury you pay another 30,000Rp & they blowdry your hair for you. We went back & sister'n'law had her hair dyed cost about $32 Aud & looked Great.
Overall we had a lovely time & the flight home was fine. Arriving in Perth at 6.35pm no other planes so got our bags & out through customs in 1/2 hour.
