Just returned from my 25th trip to the "ultimate island". Very disappointed by the number of empty seats on my Jetstar flight, as we went the day after the executions. Busines as usual, though. Stopped at two places for a week each, Sari Beach in Legian ( for a very quiet time) and Satriya Cottages in Poppies 2 in Kuta. First time at this hotel which is a little gem, being a bit off the beaten track. Run by the charismatic "Mr. Dipper", and the best staff I've encountered in Bali. The Safari Park is great, and ideal for a family day, although I lost some great footage of the missus wrestling with a python !! A note of caution though - the pubs are raising their prices fairly substantially, and with the flights also costing more, the situation might arise where Australians, especially from the Eastern States, could well choose to holiday at home. Having said that I'll be back next year !!!
