The problem no one is talking about is that dogs run free in Bali, whereas in the US and I'm assuming places like Australia, and Europe, dogs are licensed, vaccinated and at least supposed to be leashed. There are not just thousands of dogs running loose. There are no rules and regulations about dogs. You can't avoid dogs in Bali, that's what makes it so much more dangerous than in the above mentioned places.
