Tekor on the beach still a favorite of mine and just in the sweet spot between the drain smell and the dead fish smell so a delight. I think Zanzibar and Lanai would have to be feeling the affects of the dead fish pong at the moment.
Warung Tropicale nearly opposite KP on the road has really got it's act together and we have had a couple of really nice nights there. It seems to be especially popular with families because the kids like it. All the food we have had has been nice.
Warung Asian near the intersection with 66 is still as excellent as ever with the best Pad Thai I ever had, even in Thailand. Brian says everything else is delicious too but I'll have to take his word for it because I can't get past the Pad Thai.
Warung Murah on 66 not far from the beach is as good as always for Indonesian food at good prices too. For a slightly different experience in Indonesian food also liked Jadi Warung not far from Warung Asia. It's just a tiny place with maybe 5 or 6 tables selling food from Kalimantan and we had a delicious meal there last night including 2 main courses 1 dessert (coconut pancakes to die for) a large beer and a soft drink for 80something Rp. The beer, by the way, was cold too.
On Jln whatever it's called now but previously Rum Jungle Rd opposite the Captain Cook Bar is Warung Nine, previously many incarnations including Rhum and maybe Barcelona or something similar and they have beautiful food. We ate the Indonesian as did some friends we recommended it to and it was all truly delicious and reasonably priced so I hope it does better than it's predecessors. Oh their beer was cold too.
On that note must go and work out what to do for lunch.
