in november we spent a month in bali and we averaged $100aud a day for a family of four for accommodation and all our other expenses eg drivers, tour guide, lessons; EXCEPT for the 6 days in sanur where a weak aussie dollar and two trips to legian to waterbom park made it a lot more expensive. we weren't trying to budget, but do prefer eating in warungs and bought most of our stuff in places like amlapura and klunkung, where it is much cheaper. mind you, we're not enthusiastic shoppers. we were getting less than 7,000rp to the dollar for most of the trip, in fact, the first 1,000 were exchanged at 6,200 before heading for the hills and no atms for a week. have fun
