Hi guys. I'm 19 and I've never been to Bali yet. I've only traveled alone a couple of times (SE Asia) but always in major cities that are solo backpacker-friendly (i.e. big hostels!).
I'm thinking of visiting Bali for at least a week. However, I'm also considering VOLUNTEERING (I came across this foundation's website, any comments? What do you think?: http://www.ihfonline.org/manuals/bali.php) and then extending my stay for a few more days after in order to take a break and enjoy Bali for myself.
In addition to the volunteering question, I need help with accommodations:
Where's the best place to stay?? Of course I'm looking for somewhere SAFE enough for a solo female traveler but at the same time I'm hoping for a nice spot where I can very easily to meet other people, especially other solo travelers near my age. I know there aren't any hostels in Indonesia so this a pretty important bit to me.
