Loved your JBR. Good to know what you might have to pay to bring in extra alcohol. With the shortage (of booze) that was a good decision.
I truly understand your cooments on the long distance to Bali. I'm from Calgary and travel to Bali twice a year now. We use CX with connections in Vancouver and HKG and it's almost 29 hours from beginning to end with no overnights anywhere. Yes, that first Bintang tastes like GOLD!!!!
My husband used to work for CX (17 years)so I also understand the space available situation. I always hated the waiting but loved the free annual tickets we got. We are taking our 3 kids to Bali in March and it will be the first time ever we've travelled with our kids there and had paid tickets...nice to be able to book seat selection well in advance but the freebies were a huge bonus.
