though I would be reading your PDS on your insurance as I have not come across a policy which will cover you on a bike over there if you don't have an INTERNATIONAL licence to ride a bike. In other words, you'd need to have a bike licence in oz and get an IDP.
You're better off getting a nice small scooter, automatic. It's hard enough riding in the traffic and hustle and bustle over there without having to worry about changing gears too. Especially if you don't ride in oz. I ride here, and it's hard enough for me over there. It's certainly an experience. hehehe
Enjoy it though, if you're not silly, riding the bikes can be quite fun.
