anyone & use a married couple? I have sponsored a few friends to OZ & now my husband & I have sponsored his parents to OZ & also his brother...
my advice is be honest & if your a couple say you are a couple, say you are supporting him (I had to show my bank accounts, never had to show money in anyone elses' accounts etc.)
Also apply for a 1 month visa to start with & once he's done the right thing they will approve future visa's MUCH quicker!
