We did the same flights as you last year, our travel agent didn't seem to know either but we got free meals and a travel pak on the jetstar end of the leg they had it written down that we were with Qantas for the auckland sydney leg and that entitled us to the freebies.
One word of warning tho if you take dutyfree alcohol from NZ or buy it in transit in Sydney and you are taking it on board they will confiscate it because it's over the 100mls allowed.
it was amazing how much alcohol was taken!
