I would not rely upon hearing the movie been shown as the last two times i have flown Garuda either my earphone conection in the arm rest was faulty or last year it was the entire one side of the plane. I would advise on purchasing your own portable dvd player and movie at home. This can also be connected to your tv set in bali and you do not need to hire one. I have done this and it has been money well spent ( maybe a good xmas present)
