I was bitten on the thigh ( had shorts on) by a black dog in a lane in Legian about 10 years ago...not happy! Then the oldest son was bitten on the hand by a bull monkey as it ripped the bag of food from his hands! He had a nasty gash on top of fingers and we have never been to a monkey forest or near them since!! That was years ago as well, but it taught him they are nasty, viscious creatures!! We have been narrowly missed by other dogs when on the motorbike who love to chase you and have a go at biting!!
