down near Bali Hai hotel. We actually walked past the dog and it chased after my husband and bit the back of his leg. Used to take early morning walks around Kuta, Tuban area, walk the local streets, but don't do it much any more as the dogs seem quite aggressive that time of the morning. In saying that, have been to Bali numerous times and have only been bitten the once. If we do want to go for a walk early, we now just make sure we take something to ward any nasties off. My husband usually just takes his hat off and gives it a flick and that is enough to scare them off. Taking aside the rabies, I think you need to be wary of any dogs that are loose no matter where you are.
