I think that I will be going back to the clinic he works from with a friends's dogs in Feb. I will be careful to get names etc, and am quite happy to give you a full account of his attitude etc then.That at least is more fair, although I suspect the appearance of a pushy bule who owns dogs will cause a miraculous change in his attitude.
I know that the complete lack of assistance that both vets have offered my friend has been totally demoralizing for her. We forget how much of our knowledge of dogs is inherited (for example, I've allways lived with dogs, and you absorb unconsciously so much info). VERY hard if you've never had that opportunity.
I mean, honestly, how could you NOT show someone how to treat a dogs ears properly, when it's in so much pain it becomes bitey?How on earth are they meant to cope?
Please contact me, as I would really appreciate a name of a good vet to use. Dadvet has given me some fantastic and detailed advice, which helped us make a fairly awful decision, but we will need more help in the future. I would really really appreciate your help
